The quality of the channel depends on whether you are on a Wi-Fi network or on 3G.When connected via 3G, you can watch the channel in standard quality. This offers good video and audio quality at a low bit rate to minimise bandwidth requirements.
When the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network you will automatically have access to a higher quality version of the channel which makes full use of the high speed connectivity offered by Wi-Fi networks. If you like, you can change the default settings to view the standard quality version of the channel at all times.
The BBC’s mobile news site is also included in this app providing one-click access to all the latest news & sport.
How long can you watch for?
