What do you get with this app?

You get a live feed of the BBC World News channel straight to your iPhone that you can watch anywhere in the world (subject to network availability).

The quality of the channel depends on whether you are on a Wi-Fi network or on 3G.

When connected via 3G, you can watch the channel in standard quality. This offers good video and audio quality at a low bit rate to minimise bandwidth requirements.

When the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network you will automatically have access to a higher quality version of the channel which makes full use of the high speed connectivity offered by Wi-Fi networks. If you like, you can change the default settings to view the standard quality version of the channel at all times.

The BBC’s mobile news site is also included in this app providing one-click access to all the latest news & sport.

How long can you watch for?

You can watch as often and as long as you like anywhere in the world (subject to network availability).

Note: Please check with your operator for additional data charges you may incur using this service if you are not on a flat rate data package, in particular when using your iPhone abroad, as every 10 minutes you spend watching the channel will require roughly 7.2MB.
